Jo Callaghan:
Jo Callaghan, is a Sunday Times Best Selling Crime Author. She was a student of the Writers’ Academy Course (Penguin Random House) and was longlisted for the Mslexia Novel Writing Competition and Bath Novel Competition. In the Blink of an Eye, her debut crime novel, explores learning to live with loss and what it means to be human. Leave no Trace, her second novel was released in 2024 and deftly mixes crime thriller and dystopian chiller and is a clever page-turner which finds the world's first AI detective embark upon a violent and disturbing new case.
Caroline Lea:
Caroline Lea grew up on the island of Jersey and gained a First from Warwick University. Her fiction and poetry have been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and the BBC Short Story Prize. Her debut novel, The Glass Woman, a gothic thriller set during the Icelandic witch trials, was shortlisted for the HWA Debut Crown Award. Her next novel, The Metal Heart, was a powerful Second World War love story set on the island of Orkney. Her most recent novel, Prize Women, based on the scandalous true story of The Great Stork Derby, is a gripping and deeply moving novel about desperate choices and the two unforgettable women forced to make them.
AJ West:
A.J.West's second novel The Betrayal of Thomas True was an instant Sunday Times bestseller. He is an award-winning former BBC journalist and news presenter from Buckinghamshire. He writes for newspapers and magazines and appears regularly on national television and radio. AJ's debut novel, The Spirit Engineer was published in 2021, winning the coveted HWA Debut Crown Award.
