PLEASE NOTE THE FIRST CLUB WILL TAKE PLACE ON TUESDAY 1ST OCTOBER.

 

Everyone is welcome to join our in person book and pudding club meeting on the FIRST TUESDAY of every month. Combining a love of books with the enjoyment of sampling delicious puddings - whilst spending time with book loving friends.

 

Your monthly membership fee includes: a pudding, a hot or soft drink of your choice, your space at the fully facilitated book club , access to the online FACEBOOK MEMBERS PLATFORM, discounts and early access to Book Taster products, the chance to win books and much more!

 

Please note: You must source the monthly book choice yourself . You can buy the book, borrow from the library, purchase on a kindle, listen via audible or even share a copy with your fellow book club members. We endeavour to avoid harback books where possible to be mindful of costs.

 

Membership Rules:

 

By signing up to this club you are agreeing to the book club code of conduct (see section) which in essence is to show respect, tolerance and kindness to all members and the wider community.

 

Due to the nature of this club, you must give at least 4 days notice if you are unable to attend and would like to roll over your membership to the following month. We will allow one month roll overs, any subsequent will need to be paid for.

 

DELIVERY NOTE: As this is not physical item but an in person event - you will not be charged postage. Unfortunately, the website doesn't allow me to remove a shipping option, so please just ignore it and select the FREE DELIVERY OPTION

  • By signing up to your local book and pudding club you automatically agree to the following code of conduct:

    1.) To show respect, tolerance and kindness to all members and the wider community.

    2.) To be mindful that not every book will be to your taste, or those around you.

    Book club aims to widen members reading experiences, allow an engaged discussion and to safely push members out of their comfort zones.

    3.) Be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow participants, alerting your book club host if you notice an dangerous situations, anyone in distress or violations of this code of conduct.

    4.) During book club discussions - members are asked to be polite, supportive and allow others to speak. Being confrontational regarding opinions is discouraged as we aim to provide a safe space for everyone to share their thoughts and opinions.

    5.) There is zero tolerance to abuse or rudeness towards book club hosts and fellow members. Unacceptable behaviours include (but not limited too): intimidation, abusive language, discrimination and derogatory or demeaning speech.

    Anyone who displays this behaviour will be immediately asked to leave the group and will not be allowed to return. This is up to the discretion of your host and/or venue owners.

    6.) To share any concerns or complaints regarding book club directly with the club host, refraining from publicly sharing issues on social media or within a wider context.

    7.) If concerns relate to the book club host or venue - members must contact The Book Taster's founder directly on info@thebooktaster.com
